Best Book Series For Boys - Approved by Boy Moms

Finding the right books for boys can feel like a challenge, but when you land on the perfect series, it can spark a love for reading that lasts a lifetime. As a mom of boys myself—and with input from my incredible community of fellow boy moms—I’ve put together a list of the best book series that have kept our kids hooked.

Whether you have a reluctant reader or one who flies through books faster than you can check them out at the library, this list has something for every stage. Each recommendation includes the suggested age range and AR (Accelerated Reader) level. If you’re not familiar with AR, it’s a system many schools use to measure reading levels and encourage independent reading through quizzes and point goals. The AR level helps guide you to books that match your child’s reading ability while still keeping them challenged and engaged.

Scroll through to find the perfect series for your boy—ones that moms have tested and kids actually love!
